 What is IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology?

IPL describes the use of intense pulses of non-coherent light distributed over a range of wavelengths; from 400nm to 1200nm. The technology utilizes specific wavelength ranges to target various chromophores in the skin.

Contraindications:

  • Pregnancy and ovulation
  • Acute skin diseases in the treated areas
  • Use of isotretinoin (a variant of vitamin A) within 6 months before the procedure
  • Using drugs to increase photosensitivity
  • Presence of sunburn
  • Vitiligo
  • Skin cancer

No anesthesia is needed during the procedure.

The procedure is painless, during the procedure you may feel a little discomfort.

After the procedure, the pigment darkens, and after 1-2 weeks it disappears through peeling.
