Cerec Technology

Prosthetics - CEREC

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restorations of Esthetic Ceramic) is the latest technology for creating highly aesthetic and precise dental restorations aimed at restoring an attractive smile and proper dental function.

Among the most advanced technologies, our dental service is equipped with the CEREC digital device. In 2009, we became the first in Armenia to introduce this technology in practice and have successfully applied it ever since.

For hundreds of patients, perfectly crafted veneers and crowns made in just one visit have become a true salvation.

Advantages of CEREC placement:

- Speed: Tooth restoration is completed in a single visit (on average, within 1 hour).
- Precision: Digital scanning and subsequent computer modeling allow for the creation of a perfectly accurate construction that is then securely fixed onto the prepared tooth.
- Safety: The short period between tooth preparation and construction placement maximally preserves the integrity of dentin and enamel, protecting them from contamination and infection.
- Durability: Only high-quality porcelain is used for fabrication, meeting the strictest standards of aesthetics, strength, and safety.
- The CEREC device completes the construction process in 10–15 minutes.

The types of restorations made with CEREC include veneers, crowns, and inlays.

During the preparatory stage of one or several tooth reconstructions, the dentist performs oral sanitation (healing) and tooth preparation.

Next, advanced technologies are engaged in the process of making the prosthetics.

The process of creating dental constructions using CEREC:

- The camera captures a three-dimensional image of the tooth, and the entire design process of the crown is carried out digitally.
- The missing part of the tooth is displayed on the screen with 20x magnification, allowing the consideration of every architectural detail of the future tooth and ensuring the highest modeling precision.
- One of the most interesting advantages is that the patient can participate in the creation process of their tooth since all necessary CEREC equipment is located right in the doctor’s office.

After the future tooth image is outlined, a special computer program calculates the volume of the construction. All parameters are transmitted to the milling unit, which performs the grinding process according to the specified dimensions.

Over the years, many dentists in Armenia have had the opportunity to become acquainted with the achievements of modern dentistry at our center.

We value the role of advanced technologies in achieving the best results; therefore, we continuously monitor global innovations and diligently update our equipment range.

One of the key approaches of our dentists is to combine high aesthetics with functionality.

By applying this technology in our clinic, we achieved a highly aesthetic and functional result in a record short period of time.
