Dental fillings for children

Tooth filling in children is performed in cases of a specific degree of damage.

The process of filling mainly depends on the degree to which the tooth is damaged by caries.

Filling primary teeth consists of several stages:

- Removal of the carious lesion at the spot stage
- Removal of the affected tissues and filling the formed cavity with filling material
- Cleaning and filling of the root canals when the infection has penetrated the pulp

Indications for filling teeth and/or root canals

- Caries
- Pulpitis
- Tooth fracture
- Enamel crack

Contraindications for filling

- Thin tooth enamel (solution: dental crown placement)
- Allergic reaction to anesthesia (solution: general anesthesia)
